Last night I had the strangest dream
I´d ever dreamed before

I dreamed the world had all agreed
To put an end to war

I dreamed I saw a mighty room
Filled with women and men
And the paper they were signing said
They´d never fight again

And when the paper was all signed
And a million copies made
They all joined hands and bowed their heads
And grateful pray´rs were prayed

And the people in the streets below
Were dancing ´round and ´round
While swords and guns and uniforms
Were scattered on the ground

Hier soir j´ai eu le plus étrange des rêves
Que je n´ai jamais eu
J´ai rêvé que le monde était d´accord
Pour ne plus faire la guerre
Je voyais une immense salle
Toute remplie de gens
Et le papier qu´ils signaient disait
Qu´ils ne se battraient plus
Et quand le papier fut signé
Et à un million de copies tiré
Joignant leurs mains ils s´embrassèrent
Et tous ensemble ils prièrent
Et dans les rues les gens dansaient
Dansaient tous en rond
Des milliers de fusils et d´uniformes
Jonchaient le sol
